Starting the Process

Sign into the Dashboard

To begin, go to the Dashboard page and log in with the email and password you used to sign up with Fyber. You'll land on the main page of the Dashboard.

Creating the App

Click on the Add New App button.

The Dashboard Wizard will lead you through each step of setting up the initial information about your app.

Selecting Your Platform

Choose the platform you want to deploy to, iOS or Android, to start up the wizard.

Please Note:

If you plan to deploy on both platforms, select one and after completing the process, create a new one for the other platform. If you also plan to launch to Amazon as well, you will need a separate app id for the app you submit to Amazon.

Step 1: Entering Your App Details

App details identify your app to our system. We use the URL, if provided, to fetch an icon for your app from the Google Play Store. The dashboard will also use the app's name to help you identify your apps.

  1. Enter the name of your app into the Name field. You may use the same name for multiple apps in the dashboard, but we recommend you provide a name which is easily distinguishable from other apps.
  2. Enter the url of your app in the Google Play Store. If your app is not yet in the App store, you won't need the URL. In this case click the box This app is not in the App Store.
  3. If your app is intended for children under 13, please click the COPPA compliance check box.
  4. Once you are happy with your settings, click Next.

Step 2: Adding Virtual Currencies

If you will be using a rewarded ad format (Offer Wall or Rewarded Video), you will need to add at least one virtual currency. You may use different currencies for the different ad formats, so you may choose to input more than one.

  1. Enter a name for your virtual currency in the Name field. You may use the same currency name for multiple currencies.
  2. The currency id will be automatically populated into the id field. You may choose to edit the id. Remember that certain formatting restrictions will apply (spaces are not allowed, for example). You may not use the same currency id for multiple currencies.
  3. [Optional] Repeat steps 1 and 2 for any additional currencies you wish to add.
  4. [Optional] Click the trashcan icon next to any virtual currencies you would like to remove.
  5. Select one of your virtual currencies as the app's default currency by selecting the Default radio button.
  6. Once you are happy with your settings, click Next.

Please Note!

Once you finish configuring your app, you will not longer be able to edit the currency id for any of your currencies. If you need to change the id, you will have to remove the currency and create a new one with the new id.

  1. Change Status to On to activate Rewarded Video.
  2. Select the currency you wish to use for video rewards from the Virtual Currency dropdown menu.
  3. Rewarded Videos provide a static reward to the user; enter the amount of currency you wish to reward on every video view into the User Reward field.
  4. Once you are happy with your settings, click Next.

  1. Change Status to On to activate Interstitials.
  2. Once you are happy with your settings, click Next.

Step 5: Settings for Offer Wall

Configuring the Offer Wall while setting up your app will allow you to skip dashboard configurations later when you are integrating Offer Wall, either via the SDK or REST API. You can always activate the ad format at a later date.

  1. Change Status to On to activate the Offer Wall.
  2. Select the currency you wish to use for video rewards from the Virtual Currency dropdown menu.
  3. Fill in the Exchange rate field with the number of your virtual currency that equates to one Euro or Dollar (depending on the currency you have set in your account settings).
  4. Select the Round up low video rewards to 1 unit of virtual currency (recommended) if you would like to show video offers that reward less than 1 of your virtual currency. In such cases, the video will have its reward rounded up to 1.
  5. Once you are happy with your settings, click Next.

Step 7: Finishing Up

Once you click Finish you've created your app in the Dashboard. Your app will be automatically put in Testing mode. This mode will remove the app's data from your analytics, but otherwise has no effect. You will still get inventory normally when requesting the various ad formats.

Your App in the Dashboard

Once you've finished creating your app, you can select it from the list of apps in the dashboard to control various Fyber features.

Fyber generates an app id to uniquely identify your app in the Fyber system and provide some default settings in the Settings tab to configure later if the defaults don't work for you.

Next Steps

If you need to go back and modify some of your configurations, our documentation can walk you through that.

Otherwise, proceed to integration. To start that you'll need some information from the dashboard to take along.
